You can experiene a lot of rattling with a ball mount style tow bar # RM-501 and would have to have the ball mount tow bar exactly level. You will need to get a completely new tow bar if you're wanting to install a custom base plate kit on your 2002 Saturn SC2. Thank you for your photo Jim. It does look like the inner arms of your Falcon 5250 got bent somehow. I contacted Roadmaster and there are not replacement inner arms available for the Falcon 5250 anymore or a repair kit because it's an older bar.

We do offer a Roadmaster XL base plate kit for your 2000 Saturn SL, but the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, # 162-3, will not fit your vehicle. This kit is designed to fit 1996 to 1999 model years only.
